Edgefield Partners With ARMC

Edgefield, SC- Living a healthy lifestyle is important to everyone and it’s important to make sure that you have a physician that you trust as well as know your facts. This year Edgefield County Hospital partnered with Aiken Regional Medical Centers to provide education on health topics for our community.

Pat Robinson, CEO of Edgefield County Hospital, says that the partnership allows for availability of physician specialists such as cardiology, gastroenterology, and others to provide health information locally in Edgefield. Each quarter, ARMC and Edgefield County Hospital has teamed up to host a Lecture Series providing dinner and a talk with one of Aiken Regional’s specialty physicians. At the end of the seminar the physician welcomes questions for the participants. “We feel that it is important to reach as many citizens as possible on topics of interest to them. Our overall goal is to improve the health and quality of life for those that we serve in Edgefield and other counties,” said Pat Robinson. Our next event will be held on Tuesday, September 7 at First Baptist Church. From 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Edgefield County Hospital will provide FREE PSA testing for Prostate Awareness Month. If you would like to stay for the seminar, at 6 p.m. dinner will be provided and ARMC Urologist, Dr. Prakash Manian will discuss kidney stones. If you are interested in attending this free seminar call Direct Doctor’s, 1-800-882-7445, to RSVP.
